About the Course

Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) is a leading sectoral management Institute in Asia and ranked 2nd among the sectoral management schools in India. The FPM is a doctoral program designed to develop and equip students for career opportunity in Management education and research in the following faculty areas of specialization: -

  • Applied Computer Technology & Quantitative Techniques

  • Communication Methods & Forestry Extension

  • Forestry & Ecosystem Management

  • Financial Management

  • Forest Resource Economics & Management

  • Marketing Management

  • Personnel Management & Organizational Behaviour

  • Sociology & Social Anthropology

    Eligibility

    Masters degree in relevant discipline with at least 60% marks with good academic records or PGDFM from IIFM or PGDBM from IIMs with minimum OGPA of 3.33 out of 4.33 or equivalent.

    Age Limit

    Must not be more than 45 years as on June 30, 2008.

    Fellowships

    Fellowships will be provided to all selected students as per the guidelines decided by the Institute.

    How to Apply

    Interested candidates are required to take the Common Admission Test (CAT) of IIMs to be held on November 18, 2007. Sale of CAT application forms started w.e.f. 16.07.2007 and closes on 16.08.07. The IIFM will use the CAT score only for short-listing of the candidates for FPM. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.
    Alternatively, candidates who have qualified UGC / CSIR / NET / GATE / PGDFM / PGDBM from IIFM / IIM with minimum OGPA of 3.33 can apply directly without appearing for CAT.

    Application Forms can be downloaded from the website www.iifm.ac.in/FPM or may be obtained by post by sending the Demand Draft of Rs. 200/- in favour of "The Director, IIFM", payable at Bhopal, addressed to "The Chairperson, FPM Admissions, Post Box No. 357, Nehru Nagar, Bhopal 462003". The application form will be available from September 1, 2007 and the last date of submission of completed form is December 5, 2007.
