About the Programme

Supply Chain Education, LLC is announcing the launch of one year Post Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management (PGDSCM) and Post Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain Optimization (PGDSCO) starting January 2010. This one year programme is designed to enhance skills and knowledge required for working professionals, students and recent graduates who have a strong desire and motivation to pursue careers in Logistics & Supply Chain Management.

Programme Features:

The following is a summary of key features of the programme:

  • Two one week intense In-Person meetings each for five working days in India
  • Remote sessions via live meetings through internet
  • Assignments and case analysis to understand concepts
  • Focus on team work with other participants in the programme
  • Project work with an option to identify a project useful for employer
  • Curriculum based on best practices and case studies
  • Logistics cost reduction and service improvement as central theme
  • Number of real world examples which are difficult to find in any text book
  • Limited class size to ensure individual attention to participants

Admission Requirements:

In order to be successful in the Post Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management (PGDSCM), participants must have ONE of the following:

  • Logistics and Supply Chain Professionals with 2 to 4 years of work experience
  • Recent MBA graduates with a strong desire to pursue careers in Logistics & Supply Chain Management
  • Exceptional candidates with Bachelor's degree in any discipline

In order to be successful in the Post Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain Optimization (PGDSCO), participants must have ONE of the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Master's degree in Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry or MBA degree with prior background in Engineering and appreciation for quantitative methods such as Operations Research
  • Motivation to apply Optimization technology to business situations and realize strategic value
  • Professionals who are currently employed in Logistics & Supply Chain industry and responsible for strategic and tactical analysis of Supply Chains

Application Procedure:

Applications for these programmes are accepted online only. Please visit www.supplychaineducation.us and click on "Online Application for PG Diploma Programmes" and follow the instructions.

Programme Faculty:

Dr. PPC Rao, Founder & CEO of Supply Chain Education, LLC will be the Programme Director and delivers sessions during In-Person meetings and online live sessions. In addition, Guest faculty for this programme will be drawn from various leading institutions in India and abroad.

Programme Fee

The fee for PG Diploma programme is US $3,000 (or approximately INR 150,000). This fee is payable in two installments. The first installment of US $1,800 is due on or before January 1, 2010. The second installment of US $1,200 is due on or before July 1, 2010.

Supply Chain Scholarships

Supply Chain Education, LLC will offer limited number of scholarships for individuals who demonstrate potential for excellence in the field of Logistics & Supply Chain Management and have a need for financial support. These scholarships are meant for unemployed individuals and students who intend to pursue our Post Graduate Diploma programs.

  • Notification of acceptance to programme: December 10, 2009
  • Deadline for programme registration and online payment of first installment: January 1, 2010
  • First online live meeting via internet: January 16, 2010
  • First In-Person meeting: February 15-19, 2010 for PGDSCM
  • First In-Person meeting: February 22-26, 2010 for PGDSCO
  • Weekly live sessions via internet: March 1, 2010
  • Deadline for online payment of second installment: July 1, 2010
  • Project Work: July 1 - September 30, 2010
  • Weekly live sessions via internet: October 1, 2010
  • Second In-Person meeting: December 13-17, 2010 for PGDSCM
  • Second In-Person meeting: December 20-24, 2010 for PGDSCO
