The Institute launched an autonomous doctoral programme in 1999 leading to the award of Fellow Programme in Management (FPM). However, after the Institute of Management becoming a constituent of Nirma University in 2003, the degree of Ph. D. of Nirma University is granted on completion of the programme.

Eligibility

Those aspiring to be admitted in the Ph.D. programme must hold a master's degree or equivalent (such as PGDM) with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates appearing for final examination can also apply, provided they satisfy the eligibility requirement by June 30, 2010.

Selection Process

The selection procedure for admission consists of two steps :

Written Test
Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of their applications and supporting documents and those who are eligible will be called for a written test. The written test will be held at Ahmedabad.

Personal Interview
Candidates short-listed on the basis of their performance in the written test will be called for personal interview on the same day written test itself.
