Innovation in Wipro incubates and operationalises new business ideas in the market. This is spun-off into a separate business line when the proposition is mature and taken to the market. The Business Manager is required to create, own and drive the business for Utility Computing Innovation. Utility computing is providing application services and required infrastructure in per user per month fee model.
This would involve leading a team to conceptualize, collaborate with customers, create the value proposition and, therefore, define the service offering. The service offering would then need to be positioned across the key verticals identified and a line of business needs to be created and managed around this.

Wipro Infotech is the IT Services, Solutions & Products division of Rs. 81.7 billion Wipro Limited. For the quarter ended June 30, 2005, the revenues touched Rs. 3.38 Billion, an increase of 25% year on year. Profit Before Interest & Tax (PBIT) grew by 61% year on year to Rs. 218 Million.
