The company is seeking a head of marketing. It is an exciting opportunity for a young marketing professional to impact a large business. The individual will lead the areas of branding including advertising and all below the line activities, the complete media buying and planning for a budget exceeding 25 crores, and also the entire internal and external communication.
The key deliverables would be: -

  • To ensure continued preference of the brand amongst its customers. Manage overall brand metrics, by geography and channel, to optimize company investments and returns.

  • Producing and implementing integrated and effective brand marketing plans, which deliver increasing brand acceptance, market share and brand strength in the chosen consumer segments.

  • To build innovative non mass media based initiatives.

  • To enhance quality of internal and external communication.

  • To drive efficiencies in media buying and planning.

  • To lead generation of clutter breaking ideas and communication.

  • To understand the needs and demands of consumers to support product development, segmentation and targeting.

  • Steer consumer understanding through market research, incorporating insights from the research analysis into the marketing plans and continuously observing (and thereby pre-empting competition) both direct and indirect.

    Candidate Profile:

    The individual is expected to have an overall experience of around 6-8 years, with an MBA from premier business schools like the IIMs. Should be a top of the line brand management professional. High and proven skills in creative appreciation. A track record of innovation, especially in the area outside of mass media. Understanding of consumer behaviour in rapidly changing sectors such as telecom, credit cards and financial services. Deep familiarity of the media function. Candidate may have a mix of consumer (FMCG) and service industry experience from companies known for their marketing and brand building capabilities. Or have a combination of advertising and marketing experience. However, marketing experience in the service industry mandatory.  Must possess high energy, along with influencing and impacting skills. Excellent communication  and leadership skills.
