Interpersonal Communication For Managers
Programme Director: Fr. (Prof.) K. Cyriac
December 2-4, 2004 at Calicut
Objective: The ability to effectively relate with people is a distinguishing factor in successful management. Without exception, organizations all over the world are in search of ways and means of improving interpersonal relationships among their employees. They know for certain that positive relationships promote joint efforts to achieve, and cooperative behaviour builds, develops and maintains trust.
However, there is no magical magnet that can bring people together. Interpersonal skills do not just grow spontaneously, they have to be strenuously cultivated and carefully nurtured. Becoming aware of one’s inner strengths and weaknesses is the first and foremost step towards building positive and constructive social relations.
This programme takes the participants through a thorough introspection into their own strengths and weaknesses with a view to develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationship with others. It will help cultivate proficiency in the art of effective communication, skill in persuasion and motivation, an interacting style that stimulates achievement in others.
