Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Shillong Common Admission Test (CAT)

A candidate must be an Indian national holding a full time Bachelor's Degree (of at least 3 years duration), with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST) or Persons with Disability (PWD) category] from a recognized university.
In case a candidate has been awarded grades / CGPA instead of marks, the equivalence would be based on the equivalence certified by the university / institution from where they have obtained bachelor's degree. In case the university / institution does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by the IIMs by dividing obtained CGPA with the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant with 100.
Candidates seeking admission to the two-year PGP of IIM Indore have to purchase the CAT 2009 vouchers from the nearest designated Axis Bank branch and register themselves on the www.catiim.in website during the period September 9�October 1, 2009. More specific details could be obtained from www.catiim.in website.
IIM Kozhikode: Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP)
The candidate must hold a Bachelor�s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent
CGPA (45% in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe or
Persons with Disability category), of any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the
central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act
of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act,
1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD,
Government of India.
The Bachelor�s Degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the
candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher
secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent. Irrespective of the basis used by the
University/Institution, from where the candidate has obtained the degree, for award of
class/division/honours, the percentage to determine the eligibility will be calculated
taking into account marks obtained in all the papers in which the candidate was
examined for award of the degree. In case of the candidates being awarded
grades/CGPA instead of marks, the equivalence would be based on the equivalence
certified by the university/ institution from where they have obtained bachelor's degree.

Candidates appearing for the final bachelor's degree / equivalent qualification
examination can also apply. Such candidates must produce a certificate from the
Principal/Head of the Department/Registrar/Director of the university/ institution
certifying that the candidate has obtained 50% marks or equivalent (45% in case of the
candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe or Persons with Disability
category) based on latest available grades/marks. Such candidates, if selected, will be
allowed to join the programme provisionally only if they submit a certificate latest by
June 30, 2010 from the Principal/Registrar of their college/institute (issued on or
before June 30, 2010) stating that they have completed all the requirements (the results
may, however, be awaited) for obtaining the bachelor's degree/ equivalent qualification
on the date of issue of the certificate. Their admission will be confirmed only when
they submit the mark sheet and a certificate of having passed the bachelor's degree /
equivalent qualification referred to in the certificate issued by Principal/Registrar of their
college/institute.
