Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) The Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) is the doctoral level programme of MDI. The objective of the Fellow Programme is to provide high quality management education to develop outstanding scholars, who wish to pursue a career in research and teaching in the field of management. MDI is looking for candidates with a consistently good academic record, professional accomplishments and strong urge to contribute to the process of knowledge creation and dissemination in the field of management. The Programme FPM is a residential programme and would take approximately three to four years to complete. EFPM is a non-residential programme (open to candidates only from National Capital Region) and would take approximately four to five years to complete. The students are expected to undergo course work and submit a thesis at the end of the programme. Area of Specialization Finance, Human Behaviour & Organization Development, Human Resource Management, Information Management, Marketing, Operations Management and Strategic Management. Eligibility Candidates should have a Master's degree or equivalent diploma in Business Management with a minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination. Candidates with master's qualifications in a functional management area, such as finance (MFC), business economics (MBE), human resource management (HRM) may also be considered eligible for specialization in that area, if they satisfy other requirements. Additional requirement for EFPM Candidates applying for EFPM needs to have a minimum of 10 years of managerial/ executive work experience. Also the minimum age limit is 35 years as on 31st March 2005. Financial Assistance FPM students shall be provided with financial assistance of Rs. 13,000/- (Rupees Thirteen Thousand only) per month for a maximum period of 3 years. In addition, tuition fee shall be waived. Selection Candidates who wish to be considered for FPM/EFPM are invited to submit a detailed application in the prescribed form available from the institute. All short-listed candidates would be called for the test and interview process for final selection at MDI Campus. How to Apply The Information Brochure and Application Form shall be available on payment of Rs. 1100/- in cash or by sending a crossed demand draft of Rs. 1200/- in favour of the Management Development Institute payable at New Delhi from 4th October 2004 to 7th January 2005. The last date for receipt of filled in application forms is 12th January 2005.
