SJMSOM Reaches Grand Finale of NUS MBA Global Business Case Challenge - Cerebration 2006

Cerebration is a global business challenge, organized annually by NUS Business School, Singapore. It is essentially a hybrid of a business plan and business case competition and looks to combine the best elements of both. At the heart of the competition are real-life case studies of four leading Singaporean companies that are focused on international expansion. These cases profile the strategic, operational, people and financial aspects of the company and look to give teams a comprehensive understanding of the organization.

Every participating team was supposed to select a case and choose a target market (country) for the respective case. The competition was a three-stage evaluation process with the detailed feedback from the judges to align the output with the case sponsor's expectations. The semi-finals and finals provide an opportunity to the top-8 teams to enjoy an all-expenses paid trip to Singapore where they will present their findings and business plans to the CEO/Top Management of their chosen company in addition to a panel of leading industry experts.

    The case involved preparing entry strategy for Cerebos Pacific Ltd. in any market across the globe. Team Shoonya prepared Entry Strategy into India. Cerebos Pacific Ltd is a leading FMCG company manufacturing Essence of Chicken, other Traditional Chinese Medicines and Western Foods like coffee, gravies and cooking aids.
