BIM, Trichy Wins Trichy Edition of "ET in the Classroom" Quiz Third Time in a Row

Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM) has added another feather to its cap. Yet again BIM proved its supremacy on the quiz stage by winning the Trichy Edition of "ET in the Classroom" Quiz contest held at Bishop Heber College, in Trichy on the 7th of March 2006.

The winning team comprising of Sathiaseelan and Muthu Palaniappan (BIM) had already shown their mettle by winning the Zonal Tata Crucible Quiz and finished 4th in the finals beating teams from IIM Ahmedabad and FMS Delhi.

BIM has successfully achieved a hat-trick on this by winning the quiz for the third time in a row. It was literally a tug-of-war between the top three teams, boiling down to the last tie-breaker question to decide the winner. BIM took away the crown leaving behind Thyagaraja College of Engineering (Madurai) and NIT (Trichy) in 2nd and 3rd place respectively.

First time in the history of ET Quiz, 300 teams have participated in Trichy. Six teams made it to the finals, of which two were from BIM. The event was hosted by none other than the favorite Pick Brain.

The winning team was richer with an Apple i-Pod each and other gift vouchers including a 7-days holiday in Goa. The runners-up went home with a DVD-Player and other gift vouchers.
