Power of Simplicity: SIMSR Learns The Dabbawala Way

Mumbai, August 4, 2006: "I don't know error," a terse statement, sums up the philosophy of the Dabbawalas of Mumbai who had an appointment on Friday with the awe-struck students of K. J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research. The institute, one of the prominent B-schools in the country, had its students and faculty completely floored by the presentation on "Supply Chain Management of Lunch-Delivery in Mumbai" made by Mr. Raghunath Medge, the President and Mr. Gangaram Talekar, General Secretary of the Mumbai Dabbawallas Association.

The delegation enlightened the packed gathering at the seminar hall of SIMSR about the organizational structure, networking approach and the flawless delivery mechanism of their organization.
