IIM Lucknow's 'Manfest 2007' All Set to be the Complete CEO Workout

IIM Lucknow rings in 2007 with Manfest 2007 on the 19th January 2007. Manfest is the Annual Business Conclave of IIM Lucknow, a much-awaited fiesta in the B-school calendar. Manfest - the flagship event of IIM Lucknow - is the magnum opus where eminent management professionals and students from all corners of the country, Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas

gather for a three-day showdown to exchange ideas and to update themselves on the latest developments in the world of management and leadership.

Started as a debate and quiz competition, it is today hailed as one of the biggest B-school events in the country, along-with being the most hospitable B-school Event. Held from 19-21 January 2007, Manfest provides an apt rostrum for the interaction of the companies and the B-school students, thereby helping both attain the most coveted placements.

Manfest 2007 is being sponsored by prominent corporates like Reliance ADAG, Cognizant, Mahindra & Mahindra, Contact Singapore, Aditya Birla Group, Reliance Industries Limited, SBI, Ernst & Young, PwC, Virtusa, Baring Private Equity, FINO, Nirma Labs and many more. Held under the aegis of the Director, IIM Lucknow, Dr. Devi Singh, and Chairman Students Affairs, Dr. Dharmendra Singh Sengar, Manfest strives to be the biggest and the best every year. Dr. D. S. Sengar says, "We would like to see Manfest as the biggest B-school event in Asia by 2010."

Manfest brings luminaries from different walks of life under its special event 'Leaders Express' which comprises talks and interactive sessions with inspirational leaders to promote knowledge enhancement and thought leadership. The special interest groups of IIML turn up the heat in all five verticals of management, offering a cornucopia of innovative indigenously designed management games at 'Biz-Theatre'. The live consulting assignments and management simulation games provide an avenue for the corporate partners to get consulting from the brightest minds on the contemporary problems and issues in the companies.

Manfest 2007 will also host events like 'Biz Quiz', 'Call For Arms' - The Battle of B-schools, 'Nirvaan' - The B-Plan Contest, and 'Treatise' - The International Thought Challenge, to name just a few. The Lucknow CEO Forum and The Finance Panel Discussion with eminent personalities from the corporate will provide for industry insights to the B-school students. It then goes online with events like 'Corporate Lords' and 'Online Biz Theater' that generate interest among the 20,000 odd participants. Events like business quizzes, general quizzes and national debate give a platform to the literarily inclined ones.

Manfest goes beyond business by having professional concerts, literary events and amazing parties. The workout is rewarded with a grand night to remember, Manfest's proud offering to the B-school community; be it a grand party with Laser Shows or professional singers and music bands like Indian Ocean, Parikrama, Strings, Euphoria, Them Clones and KK.

The organizing committee adds newer events every year to introduce a different dimension to the portfolio of offerings made by different B-school events. This year a total of 25 events await the students across the nation, many of them to be played online.
