OIG-IIM Lucknow & CoolAvenues Conducted 'OPSYRUS 2007' Results are Out

The Operations Interest Group (OIG) is the special interest group for Operations in IIM Lucknow and is committed to the cause of enhancing classroom learning and providing a platform for the students to demonstrate their understanding of the subject.

To this end OIG-IIM Lucknow, in partnership with CoolAvenues.com, a leading web portal, organized "Opsyrus 2007", an -nternational-level Paper Writing Competition. The topics for the contest were chosen after careful deliberation to reflect the increasing importance of these issues in the field of operations today: -

  • Relevance and Application of Six Sigma in Services Sector

  • Planning for Demand Uncertainties during Promotional Cycles of Modern Retail

    The response was overwhelming with over 100 entries received from top technical universities from Asia and B-schools from India. The competition was intense with the team of Devdatta Jain & Meenakshi Chhajer from NITIE finally walking away with the honors. Aniket Raj Agarwal & Nikhil K. Jainender from SIIB were the first runners-up, and Ankur Gupta & Sumit Roshan from IMT Gaziabad won the second runners-up spot.
