E-Week Yatra: Reflections Midway
By Shubha Narayanan

Kolkata. Indore. Mumbai. Delhi. Chennai. Coimbatore. Bangalore. Seven cities in seven days: that's my E-Week Yatra.

Tearing across the country in the peak of winter, burping over airline food, grabbing cat-naps in cars, checking out so many campuses every day: that's my E-Week Yatra.

Feeling the pulse of promising youth, meeting dreamy-eyed youngsters planning to make it big, sharing their energy and creative ideas, and being swept into their excitement. That's my E-Week Yatra.

I'm poised at my journey's mid-point; three more days to go. And it has been such an exhilarating joy-ride that I don't want it to end, and I don't want to miss a thing. I crib when I am in transit. I get restless waiting in lobbies. I feel cheated if I reach sessions late. I want to absorb every drop of inspiration.

Campuses across the cities have been rocking this E-Week.

The formal nature of the inaugural events on Day 1 in Kolkata rapidly dissolved into the fun and frenzy of activities a day later. Students in Indore joined in to celebrate the E-Week at campus on a Sunday. Students in Mumbai were back to business on Monday, getting E-Week rolling in their usual bindaas way.

Tuesday unleashed excitement in Pune, as students and faculty roared through the streets in a two-wheeler rally than saw their Director shouting E-Week slogans for the entire 20 km.

Enthusiasm was at its peak in Chennai campuses on Wednesday, as the students organized street plays, rallies and endless panel discussions.

So far, my E-Week Yatra has been enlightening, entertaining and very eventful. And I am hungry for more!
