In his keynote address, Mr. Narayana Murthy urged the students to 'identify as Indians first and foremost, and to rise above affiliations to religions, castes, and regions; put in the interest of the nation ahead of personal interests; embrace a disciplined way of pursuing goals; and be ready to work hard, without cutting corners, even if it means making short-term sacrifices for long-term success'.

Mr. Kamal Nath exhorted the graduating students to become 'leaders in every sense; and that in achieving their own success, they fulfill the dreams that the people of this country have dared to dream - dreams which have already begun to take shape'.

The ceremony was marked by a befitting solemnity. Dr. B. S. Sahay, Director, IMT Ghaziabad and Dr. Anwar Ali, Director, IMT Nagpur, presented the annual reports of the two campuses and enumerated the significant achievements made by the institute.
