ZCBI-Pune Announces Collaboration With University of Essex Enabling Global Entrepreneurship

Zensar Centre for Business Innovation (ZCBI) announces a wide-ranging collaboration with the School of Entrepreneurship & Business, University of Essex (UoE) for the creation of global entrepreneurs. New programs and initiatives are envisaged simultaneously in

Pune, India and London, UK where the School of Entrepreneurship & Business Centre is located at the UoE's campus in the Southend of London.

Zensar has actively pursued the industry-academia collaboration model to attract fresh talent and to address existing skills shortage with its academic tie-ups with colleges under its Centre of Excellence (CoE) initiative. The collaboration with UoE will address the shortage of managerial skills and also help in developing an entrepreneurial workforce. The collaboration would involve joint research and collaborative teaching between Zensar and the UoE for business transformation and technology management.

Dr. Ganesh Natarajan, Dy. Chairman & Managing Director, Zensar, said, "The Union budget presented last week has created a new focus on resource creation for all industry sectors. This collaborative effort of the Zensar Centre for Business Innovation with the School of Entrepreneurship & Business, University of Essex, would enable an ecosystem for innovation and technology entrepreneurship to be created in both countries, helping the larger mission of capacity and competency building for the Industry. The capabilities of the University will complement our initiatives in all these areas."

The collaboration envisages three distinct areas: -

Sponsored research on Global Delivery Platform as an entrepreneurial opportunity in Essex and Eastern Europe to be done at the Southend campus of the University.
Co-teaching of the Post Graduate Program for Business Transformation that has been launched by the Zensar Centre for Business Innovation.
Joint development of entrepreneurial talent in UK through a centre at the campus of the School of Entrepreneurial Business powered by Zensar's technologies.

Prof. Jay Mitra, Head of School of Entrepreneurship & Business, University of Essex, said, "We are delighted by this collaboration towards creating global entrepreneurs, which is in line with the objective of the University. By creating this collaborative venture, the students have access to a real education that makes them ready for an entrepreneurial business".
