FMS-Delhi Students Fulfill their Social Responsibility through Silent Auction

Previous

The other well-fought bids included 'a trip to old Delhi', 'Mantras of success at FMS by a senior', 'Salsa Classes', 'Private Equity Classes', 'Notes & Assignments' and 'Chit-Chat & Gossip Sessions', and many more.

According to Pavitra Gupta, a second year MBA student at FMS, "The Silent Auction serves as a perfect ice-breaker between the two batches, as this was the first informal event after the hectic induction fortnight. This was a perfect platform to boost camaraderie and long-lasting friendships within the FMS fraternity with an increasing number of dates and bike-rides on offer. It was very exciting to see 200 bright individuals battling each other in an attempt to out-bid one another, all for the benefit of the society at large."

The thoughts of the junior batch echoed in the words of Mufeed-Ur-Rehman, "It is not about the money or the items but is about being able to contribute to the society in a way that is fun too."

The Silent Auction is truly a testament to the innovative, path-breaking and exceptional acts FMS students are famous for.

The auction not only brought forward innovative ideas of the budding managers of FMS but also reinforced the fact that the youth of today is socially responsible. "Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together". This is what we believe in, and what better way than beginning with Silent Auction, which is a small endeavor towards this cause. A small effort by the privileged few translates into unthinkable benefits for the society at large, and as budding managers, we have an equal responsibility of making this world a much better place to live in, a fact that FMS firmly believe in, and espouse with utmost passion and fervor.

Concluded.
