Manthan 2008 at TISS-Mumbai Attracts Best Talent from B-schools

2) Ankur - The Entrepreneurship Event - The objective of Ankur was to test the entrepreneurial skills of participants and to encourage the same in them. Ankur, sponsored by Mahindra & Mahindra, was an event conceptualized jointly with NEN (National Entrepreneurship Network), the other knowledge partner being Intellecap.

The event was executed in three stages: -

1. A B-Plan Contest was used to shortlist teams. The theme of the B-Plan had to be social centric entrepreneurial ideas.
2. A Boot Camp, Prerna, where the participating teams were invited to the Campus a week before the actual event, and they were individually mentored by an entrepreneur to refine their B-Plans and to motivate them. A pep-talk was delivered by none other than Mr. Ujjwal Banerjee, winner of Lead India Campaign.
3. Actual Presentation of B-Plan.

The participation was fabulous. The teams shortlisted for the final round were: -

IRMA-Anand

XLRI-Jamshedpur

IIT-Deldi (DoMS)

Wellingkers-Mumbai

The Winners were in the end were from XLRI-Jamshedpur and the Runners-up were from IIT-Delhi (DoMS).
