The Entrepreneurship & Consulting Club currently has projects running with State Bank, Aptiva Consulting, Pratibha Syntex and Marico. For SBI, the students studied the bank's offerings to medical practitioners and conducted a gap-analysis exercise to identify avenues for product improvements. They also offered suggestions for better positioning of products for medical practitioners. The students also worked with the corporate strategy team of Pratibha Syntex to re-structure the business and streamline various activities of the organization in order to positively impact the bottom-line. They also designed a brand strategy for the launch of a new product by the company. With regard to Marico, an assessment was done on the market potential for Saffola Gold in the Indore market and suitable triggers were identified to improve the sales of the product in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

MercurI, the Marketing Club, through the route of an inter B-school contest, organised a consultancy project to address live problems for the business venture www.scratchmysoul.com. Mercuri also brought a live project on new bed-breakfast format of hospitality to give students exposure to the concept.

Pragati, the Social Initiatives Club, is working on a project with BGMS, a pan-Madhya Pradesh NGO, to establish a 'B-school of Semi-literates' to provide them with vocational literacy in new-age economy skills. Pragati activities include feasibility surveys to preparing course modules to help the NGO arrange funds to get them teachers / instructors. The project is in the final stages and some of the activity on grass-root level has already taken off.

3. Student Initiatives

IIM Indore Marathon: On October 2nd, the Gandhi Statue at Regal Square in Indore was greeted by a pleasant sight. 7:00 am saw more than 5,000 Indoreans take time out to make a statement by running for peace. The marathon organised by the IIM Indore was a resounding success and the turn-out reflected the city's belief that they wouldn't be intimidated by violence. The run saw enthusiastic participation in both the categories - the 3.0 Km. Celebratory Run which enabled everyone in Indore to make a statement and the 10.0 Km. Peace Run for more serious runners.
