Krishnakanth is basically from Andhra Pradesh, but moved to Tamil Nadu. He topped in 10th standard with 91% and then was school second in higher secondary with 97%. Being in the top 1%ile in the Tamil Nadu Engineering Entrance Examination he get into one of the best engineering instituitions in India, College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, Chennai for undergraduation.

During his undergraduation period he took part in stage-plays, organized department events & was the President for the college magazine team, 'The Guindy Times' and Camp Secretary for the National Service Scheme (Unit IV), Anna University. He won 2nd place in the college technical paper presentation in 2003 & was awarded a merit scholarship. He graduated with 82.5% in engineering in 2006. After that he also got job with TVS Motor Company.

In his 36 month tenure as an R&D engineer in TVS Motor Company, he worked on projects like Apache RTR-FI, Scooty Streak, Scooty Teenz Electric and other new products.

Krishnakanth is currently pursuing Post graduation in management at one of the premier management institutions in India, T. A. Pai Management Institute, Manipal (Karnataka).

His other interests include reading novels, learning new languages, theatre and cars!
