I am Simanti Talukdar, a 1st year student at SCMHRD! A hardcore Bong from Kolkata, I moved to Mumbai after a lot of rumination and finally graduated in from Sophia College. After going through the grind of the corporate life for almost two years, I decided to go back to college to live the great Indian dream - the MBA dream! Three months of the round-the-clock rigours of the B-school, and I feel like I have been here all my life!

Being a member of the Corporate Communication Cell of SCMHRD also adds that extra jazz as now at least I can proudly claim that my work is my passion, i.e., writing: that magnificent art that has saved me from falling asleep in so many boring lectures, that gives me the freedom to unleash whatever little creativity that is left in me, and above all, that helps me to hold on to the Kodak moments of my life, albeit on a piece of paper! But most of all, it's my blog - www.shimonti-itsmylife.blogspot.com - that traces my journey through the roller-coaster ride called LIFE!!

Nine years of training in Bharatnatyam, endless hours of playing and discussing sports (cricket, tennis and swimming), western rock music (especially Bruce 'The Boss' Springsteen and Eric Clapton), a bit of Jane Austen and Agatha Christie, dollops of humour (exemplified by Dilbert, Calvin & Hobbes or the wit of Oscar Wilde, Groucho Marx and Mark Twain), the thirst for traveling are a few things that defines the person I am!
