More than 50% of the batch had pre-placement offers (PPOs) and pre-placement interviews (PPIs) from the Autumns Internships which were done in companies like P&G, HUL, Citibank, Sabre Capital, Edelweiss, Pentland Brands (London), Development Bank of Singapore, etc.

For MDI, Gurgaon, the highest overseas salary of HK $ 575,000 (equivalent to USD 73,805.275) is almost equal to the last year's figure of AUS $ 80,000 (equivalent to USD 74,744).

NITIE, Mumbai

The corporate giants picked up young managers in large numbers at NITIE. Consulting giant Ernst & Young made 13 offers, FMCG sector was dominated by Procter & Gamble who made 21 offers, Cognizant Technologies led IT with 21 offers, and banking and financial advisory saw ICICI Group make 30 offers this year.

Placements at NITIE have shown an upswing in International offers as well as in a large array of profiles such as Treasury, Investment Banking, International project finance and others.

SJMSOM, IIT Mumbai

Pre-Placement Offers were made to 40% of the batch before the start of the placement process. The list of companies included Citibank, Standard Chartered, L'Oreal, Cadbury, Spencer's Retail, Feedback Ventures, TPG, and Wipro.

Corporate offered specific roles to suit the interests of students to attract them. HCL, for example, offered a unique international role in Business Development for the Middle East region, which is one of the most sought after positions in services industry.

Niche profiles in oil and gas sector were offered by companies like Cairn Energy and GE Oil & Gas.

This year, SJMSOM made a significant foray into the international frontiers. Nearly 17% of the batch was offered international profiles.

IMT Ghaziabad

The highlight of the IMT placements was the substantial increase in the number of international offers from companies like HSBC Hong Kong, Protiviti Risk Consulting, Sharaf Group, Olam International and Jumbo making a total of 15 international offers.

This year IMT Ghaziabad also welcomed a number of recruiters coming for the first time or after a long gap including Mercer, AT Kearney, Cerebrus, Synovate, Perfetti Van Melle, Vodafone, Aviva, Yes Bank, Schneider, SKF, SEBI, ORG-IMS, Aptivaa and Moser Baer, to name a few.
