So finally wheels turned the full circle. With Accenture withdrawing offers after 9 months and Andersen facing the possible extermination from business world, this placement season could not have come at a much worse time. While in 2000, even the also-ran returned home with a trophy, year 2002 is going to be a very windy affair even for the best-prepared boats. In London Business School, only 30 % of the batch managed to get The Jobs; in other US schools, the scene is equally bad. Back home, placements at XIMB, NITIE, SPJIMR and NMIMS are over, and last year, while schools were falling over each other to share their placement data, Omerta has become the word for the B-Schools this year.
