Eligibility
Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications to apply for IIMA's Doctoral Programme:

  • Master's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 55 percent marks
    OR

  • Bachelor of Engineering with a minimum of 60 percent marks
    OR

  • CA, ICWA, CS with a minimum of 55 percent marks

Bachelor's and Master's degree must be obtained from a University, Deemed University or an Institution recognized by AICTE/UGC. Those in their final year of Master's in any discipline or Bachelor's of Engineering can also apply. Such candidates have to complete the requirements for the course before 30th June 2005 and produce the original certificates/mark sheets by 31st December 2005.

Admission Process
Application form for admission to FPM could be obtained by writing to the FPM Office. The application form can be downloaded from the FPM website. Faculty will then evaluate the applications that have been submitted, and invite a select group of candidates for personal interviews with the faculty and the members of the FPM Executive Committee, who recommend candidates for admission. The deadline for submission of application material is November 15, 2004. Interviews will be held in early April and admission decisions made by mid April.

Admission Material
The completed application for admission to the doctoral programme shall include the following:

  • FPM Application Form

  • Application Fee: A demand draft for Rs. 200 in favour of 'Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad' payable at IIM Ahmedabad Branch of State Bank of India, should be sent with the filled in application form towards application fee

  • Certified copies of School and University degrees

  • Certified copies of mark sheets or transcripts of grades obtained during the course of study for the above degrees. Transcripts in languages other than Hindi and English must be submitted along with certified translations
