About the Speaker: Mr. Y. M. Deosthalee, CFO & Member, Board of Directors, Larsen & Toubro, India

Mr. Y. M. Deosthalee started his career with L&T in 1974. He was appointed on the Board of L&T in 1995. Mr. Deosthalee has been instrumental in setting up L&T Finance Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of L&T in 1994. Mr. Deosthalee is on the Board of other subsidiary and associate companies of L&T.

He is also Chairman of the Banking & Finance Committee of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Mumbai. He is also a member of the Economic Affairs Sub-Committee of the Confederation of Indian Industry and also on their Financial Services Committee.

About the Session: ‘In Search of a Panacea for Global Businesses: Creating Processes that Work Across Boundaries’

Should the company adopt universally standard policies and practices or develop these to suit local needs? In this era of globalization and comparative advantage, when successful businesses seem to transcend boundaries with ease, do the processes, practises, systems that make companies so successful, make this transition with them, to work effectively across geographies?

About the Speaker: Mr. Yogi Sriram, Senior Vice President - Human Resources, TAJ Group of Hotels

Mr. Yogi Sriram has 29 years of rich experience in the Human Resources Development. Mr. Sriram has lead the HR function in Sriram Industrial Enterprises Limited, Asea Brown Boveri Limited, Dabur India Limited and Larsen & Toubro Limited, one of India’s largest conglomerates as Vice President - Corporate Human Resources. His last assignment before joining The Taj Group was with BP (British Petroleum) as H.R. Director (Africa, Middle East, Turkey & South Asia).
