Summer Placements at IIT Kanpur Witness Major Deviation in Profiles & Companies

BPCL, Genpact, Telcon and Hero Honda represented Operations & SCM profiles. While Genpact & Telcon offered core SCM profiles, BPCL & Hero Honda offered a mix of Marketing and Supply Chain Management profiles. KPMG and Shinsei Bank offered IT & Advisory-IT roles.
UNIDO and IL&FS offered six IT based E-Governance projects. A few foreign organizations like Asian Development Bank, Manila and Paris University were interested to recruit the students for their summer projects. However, no student could go ahead as the project duration was beyond the curriculum dates.
