Tattv '08 at SIOM Proves to be a Learning Experience for Budding Managers

Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management (Nashik) kicked-off its Annual National Summit, Tattv '08, at The Gateway Hotel (formerly The Taj Residency) in Nashik on 4th October 2008. The theme for this two-day consortium was 'Strategic Foresight: The Power of Envisioning the Future'. Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar, the Principal Director of Symbiosis Society, and Dr. C. R. Patil, Managing Committee Member, Symbiosis Society, inaugurated the event.



Key Speakers from Diverse Backgrounds Participating in Tattv '08 at SIOM Nashik

The First Day started off with gusto with key speakers like Mr. Sachin Kulkarni, VP - Financial Services, Capgemini, USA, Ms. Nadia Chauhan, Director, Parle Agro Ltd., Mr. Pankaj Gupta, General Manager - Operations & Supply, Hindustan Unilever Ltd., Mr. H. S. Banerjee, Managing Director, Epcos India Ltd., to name a few. Pragmatic and progressive fore-sight formed the basis of discussion for the first day. The business leaders discussed about the key issues of global players and gave solutions in the form of channel management model and multi-channel product catalogue. The speakers highlighted the rising importance of the IT industry and the challenges it faces. E-Governance, transparency and RTI have been possible because the extensive use of the IT in public and private settings. "Information Technology is transforming Industry, Government and people," Mr. V. K. Raman, Head - BPO Services, Tata Consultancy Services, said.
