Freshers Party is uniquely celebrated with seniors throwing a small and special party for juniors. Juniors are assigned Mentors from the senior batch who take them out for dinner.

Stress Buster Party - One day before the semester exams, the whole of TISS goes into the jiving mode with Stress Buster Party. It's a huge hit on the campus.

"Chris-mom, Chris-Dad" - Just before new year, the season for love begins. Boys and girls on campus start sending secret gifts to their eye-candies. The cover comes off on new-year's eve when the two go out on a dinner date.

All festivals of India are celebrated with wonderful camaraderie. The students from a particular region, religion, ethnicity celebrate their festival by preparing a special meal for one and all on campus followed by their cultural programmes. TISS is a wonderful place to be when such an event is on.

Farewell Party - It's a huge and bombastic affaire when seniors are bid adieu by the juniors in grand style. This is the only occasion when TISS sheds its austerity.

Departmental Fests -

Manthan - It is one of "THE Biggest HR Festival in India". A three-day extravaganza in which students descend from the most reputed B-schools in India to participate. Organized by the students of Center for HRM & LR, the fest comprises a slew of formal and informal events. The formal events are where the students compete in various competitions to prove their managerial mettle. The informal events happen in the evenings so as to make the stay of the participants pleasant and also help to explore their 'other' sides. The third day of the event is for the Corporate Sessions where the students of HRM & LR interact with the head-honchos of the corporate world with the Leadership Roundtable, HR Roundtable and Corporate Workshops. The evenings of the corporate sessions are filled in by the Alumni Dinner.
