TISS Students Enjoying Fun Trips Organized by the Institute

Q. What kind of profile you wish to develop and mould your students to, while they are studying at TISS campus? Is the emphasis on hard-work, smart-work, perseverance, personality, ethics, social responsibility, or overall profile?

The students at TISS are expected to gel with the culture of the Institute and understand the diversity, values and field-work experience. The Institute also offers foundation courses related to society and culture in the first year to the students of all programmes. The HRM & LR Programme expects the linkage of classroom teaching with field-related experiences and students are expected to develop their skills and attitude towards this goal.

CoolAveues Would like to inform its readers that TISS's HRM & LR Chairperson's Chair is a rotating responsiblity, and by the time this interview is published, Prof. D. K. Srivastava has moved out and Prof. Sasmita Palo has taken over as the new Chairperson of Center for HRM & LR at TISS. Prof. Palo is Associate Professor at Centre for Human Resources Management in School of Management & Labour Studies. She holds M.A. (PM&IR), M.Phil. (PM&IR), L.L.B. & Ph.D. from Berhampur University. Her areas of interest include Labour Market, Organisational Behaviour, Change Management and TQM & HRM Linkage.
