Complete Round-up of VISTA 2006, the Business Fest at IIM Bangalore
Post-event Press-release

Previous

The major event of the day, though, was Numero Uno, the quest for the best B-school student across India also concluded on Day 3. Spread over the three days of VISTA, Numero Uno proved to be a grueling test of participants' leadership, integrity, charisma, intelligence, team building skills and of course, business aptitude.
The event, which featured a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh, and fielded 15 participants from the 15 best business schools in India and the University of New South Wales (Australia), was finally won by an army major from IIM Ahmedabad.

One of the biggest, most popular and most challenging events at VISTA, 'Bizarre', the business quiz, was hosted by the inimitable quizmaster for all seasons, Derek O' Brien. Held in two rounds - an elimination round and a final - the event drew humongous participation from corporate and management schools all over India. More than 150 teams registered for the elimination rounds, and six teams made it to the finals. These included three corporate teams and three teams from business schools. The finals were a closely fought battle of brilliance, where the participants' knowledge of current affairs and business was tested. A mixed corporate team from Bangalore took the first prize at the event, with a first year IIM Bangalore finishing second narrowly.
