  2. Questions related to Pre-MBA Preparation
  3. Questions related to Group Discussion / Group Exercise
  4. Interview-related Questions
  5. After Joining MBA

Q.Was Group Discussion or Group Exercise part of selection process?
A. Yes.

Q. The duration of GD, size of the group, number of panelists, etc.
A. 15 minutes with 8 people in the GD.

Q. What was your GD topic?
A. Is the global crisis a product of MBA's?

Q. Tell us about your GD experience?
A. It was a great experience at GD of IMI. The entire process was so well managed. This was the core differentiator vis a vis other B schools. As at IMI, we believe, management starts at home and our own internal processes.

Q. How was the environment during discussion?
A. It was conducive with a couple of moderators from IMI being present to assist with any concerns.

Q. Describe your impression of your team members and overall GD process?
A. None of the other GD members could make it through to the school. However, everybody was listening to each other patiently.

Q. Some handy tips that would be of great help.
A. 1. Participate only if you can add value.
    2. Don't be the only one to talk.
    3. Listen to others points. Don't stay in your own shell where you are focussed in making your points heard. Go with the flow.
    4. Be confident but back up your arguments with statistics. It really helps.

Q. Were there any set norms of Group Discussion?
A. Yes. If anybody found colluding, the entire batch would be rejected. The list of best practices was read out before the GD started.
