Caveat II
Previous
Caveat #4:
Indian B-schools have been slow to react to monumental changes in the Industry. Here again, if we look at the US B-schools, we find the Entrepreneurship courses have been introduced, with high attendance. In India, only few institutes run entrepreneur-ship courses, which are again very basic courses with no real emphasis on Business Plans and other related areas.
Overall
Times are changing fast. And in the knowledge economy, one has to invest to retain the cutting edge. And now's the time to repair when the sun is shining. Indian B-schools have to invest in infrastructure so that students are aware of changes in technology and be comfortable with them. And the course content has to be upgraded fast, with introduction of new cases, more relevant to present times. And the emphasis on entrepreneurship can never be emphasised enough in these changing times, with the change unleashed by Internet.
