The companies have started their recruitment process at IIMB - India's # 1 B-school.

Feb 21, 6:00 p.m... IIMB, Baneerghetta

McKinsey, Arthur Andersen, Capital One have come out with their shortlists. Group processes for ICICI and JP Morgan are going on today. Big shots, like Kalpana Morporia, Senior GM of ICICI, are in campus for the recruitment.

Some of the shortlists have started coming in.

Lehman Brothers has shortlisted 16 people for their Investment Banking Division and 12 for their Capital Markets Division.

DTCG has shortlisted about 35 people for the preliminary round. JP Morgan has come up with one of the biggest lists so far - 65. Deutsche bank has come up with a list of around 30 students. Pepsi, Hewitt Associates and HSBC have come up with their shortlists too.

Among the much awaited shortlists, Boston Consulting Group has come up with a shortlist of about 20 people. McKinsey's shortlist is eagerly awaited.

The placement at IIMB is scheduled to start on Thursday, 22rd of Feb, and the scene at India's # 1 B-School is heating up. IIMB was ranked as # 1 B-school in the country by the latest Business Today Rankings. The Institute is going all out to leverage the ranking to attract the foreign recruiters and justify its billing as Numero Uno.

IIMB has an impressive line-up of companies - both Indian and foreign, who will participate in the Placement 2001. Who's who of the Corporate world have already confirmed their participation in the Placement process, scheduled in this week, starting from Feb. 22, 2000, Thursday.

Day Rankings have been drawn out, PGP 2s are going through their last stages of preparation. Battlelines, or shall we say, "Wooing lines" have already been drawn.

The Pre-Final Assessment Process called PFA has been spread over 2 days - 22nd and 23rd (i.e., Thursday and Friday). Day 1 is on Saturday and Day 2 is on Sunday.

Shortlists:

BioDs have been submitted, candidates' profiles screened.

Shortlists will be out shortly as Consultancy firms, Investment Banks from US of A, Leading Indian FI join the battle for Battle Royale.

Pre Placement Offers:

190 students are in fray. With a impressive summer work in the firms, many students have got the coveted PPOs (Pre Placement Offers).

At a conservative estimate, around 40-45 PPO have already been offered. A list will be posted on the www.coolavenues.com shortly.
